It’s time to make Fridays funky! – Free live music in London on Friday & Saturday nights at Dry Martini Bar – March 2017 line up.

Following the success of our free live music in London on Saturday nights at Dry Martini Bar, this month we’re introducing bands on Friday nights too! Going forward Friday is jazz funk night and Saturday will continue with a more trad jazz speakeasy vibe.

So get to Dry Martini Bar after work on Friday nights for free live jazz funk from 6:30pm. What better way to start your weekend than with the coolest cocktails in London and finest & funkiest free live music.

Put some groove in your Friday night with H-Groove the funkiest jazz trio in town!

Comprising the talents of Alasdair McLachlan (bass and vocals), Fred Fontane (drums) and Pietro Dalla Vecchia (guitar) this band blend contemporary pop, rock, jazz and funk into an evening that has something for everyone.

Saturday March 4th 2017 – Lady Jay

Lady Jay’s vocals invoke a startling feeling of the great Billie Holiday. A firm talent this London singer songwriter has a voice which begs to be played on a gramophone! She joins us in the Dry Martini Bar with bass and piano to recreate some classic jazz standards from the 1940s golden age. Hers is a voice to get lost in and we invite you to do so.

Mind the Cat are possibly the coolest cats in London. This jazz funk trio present a very tight line up and guitar & bass pairing to rival Niall Rogers and Bernard Edwards. This band will get you moving with your martinis as they pull together hits from James Brown, Chic and more.

Saturday March 11th 2017 – Dan Oates

Dan refined his trade at the Royal Academy of Music where he has studied on various courses since he was 9 years old. He completed both a Bachelors Degree in Classical Violin and a Masters in Jazz.

Since graduating Dan has performed around the globe from South America to Asia and Europe and at some of the world’s most famous festivals and venues including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Ronnie Scotts and BBC live lounge.

He brings both jazz violin and vocals to the Dry Martini Bar with our session band to run through some 1940s era jazz classics.

Saturday March 18th 2017 – Hana Joy

Hana Joy’s voice has been described as having a “vocal range that knocks you sideways”. Certainly, she has a great gift and she knows how to use it.

As a singer songwriter, she has performed supporting Rita Ora, Peter Kay and Little Mix. She has also shared the stage with Michael Ball, Lesley Garrett and Kerry Ellis.

Her interpretations of jazz standards are a real treat and we are very looking forward to hear debut at Dry Martini Bar.

Having relocated to London to study for her music degree singer songwriter Hilda Cecilia has embraced the city and the many opportunities it holds for live music performance.

A very hard working singer you’ll find her fronting many ensembles as she hones her craft.

She will be performing with our session band for her debut at Dry Martini Bar.
