London Singer Guitarist Marcus

London singer guitarist Marcus comes with a wealth of experience in weddings and other live events. He specialises in rock, pop, indie and soul from the '60s to today – from the Beatles to Bruno Mars!

Description

London singer guitarist Marcus has a broad repertoire encompassing rock, pop, indie and soul from the ’60s to today.

With more than twenty years of musical training, and nearly a decade of performing experience behind him, Marcus can boast having played over 200 gigs over the last two years – many of them private events and weddings.

He sings and plays in restaurants, bars and events across London as well  as travelling around the South East of England and further afield for private events.

Marcus is perhaps most at home playing romantic numbers, but is well renowned for being able to play a given song in several different ways, and is more than capable of getting a crowd dancing!

He likes to tailor his performance to the event, and is always happy to learn a special song or two for the day if appropriate. As Marcus has plenty of experience singing and playing guitar across London he is very comfortable with requests on the day and builds great rapport with guests.

With consistently great reviews from clients, and a reputation for good communication and professionalism, Marcus looks forward to the challenge of sculpting his musical performance to fit your requirements perfectly!

What kind of functions do you play?
Weddings, pubs, clubs, restaurants, festivals, residencies, other private or corporate functions – I’m open to just about anything, feel free to ask.

How long do you typically play for?
With my current repertoire I can fill a maximum of around 3 ½ hours, but will happily consider any length of set.

What are your prices?
Please enquire to agree a price. I will offer very competitive rates based on the nature and timings of the event.

How far are you prepared to travel?
I am based in both East London and Reading but have a car and will happily travel to just about anywhere in the UK.

What equipment do you use?
I have a fully equipped Mackie PA system with mixer and microphones if there is not one available at your venue. I play a Taylor 210ce electro-acoustic guitar, a Vintage Les Paul copy or a Baja Telecaster through a Blackstar amp as required. I also have a stage piano if specially requested.

Can I request a song that isn’t in your repertoire?
Yes, just let me know beforehand and I’ll see what I can do!

Do you DJ?
Yes, I can provide filler music between live sets if required, using Spotify from my phone/laptop, through my PA system. Happy to create playlists beforehand, or choose songs on the fly according to the vibe of the event. All I need is a WiFi connection.
