Zara & Boyan are a soulful and funky jazz duo, with a huge repertoire they are ideal for any event, wedding, hotel, restaurant, or Christmas party.
The line up of this act is Vocals and Jazz guitar.
A truly gifted and talented up and coming Jazz duo, Zara and Boyan have recorded and performed with some of the best names in jazz and other genres including Hugh Masekela, Gary Crosby, Denys Baptiste, Soweto Kinch, Abram Wilson, Alex Wilson, Jazz Jamaica, Orphy Robinson, Omar Puente and more. Their ambition and persistence has been awarded by being given the opportunity to perform in many of the most prestigious venues in the country such as The Royal Albert Hall, Mean Fiddler, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Jazz Café, and at the Hogmanay Festival 2004.
They have traveled all over Britain and Europe and have had live and recorded works performed on radio stations such as BBC World Service, BBC 1Xtra and BBC Radio 4.
Recording credits include Jazz Jamaica’s ‘Motor City Roots’ album and an original composition featured on the ‘Basement Soul’ compilation album alongside artists such as Juliet Roberts, Mary Pearce and Ursula Rucker. Zara has also toured performing tribute acts in honor of some of the great jazz vocalists such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Bessie Smith and Abbey Lincoln and performs regularly at various private functions performing music from the entire popular music spectrum.
