Lou V is an acoustic jazz guitarist & singer for hire in London. She performs regularly for Yes Entertainment at Hilton Park Lane as part of our Acoustic Afternoons series and also at Longford’s Bar Melia Whitehouse as part of a duo with her co guitarist Simon.
Whenever we visit venues where she is playing we always get people coming up to us and telling us she is amazing. Well, they are right she is.
Lou is a big fan of bossa nova and gypsy jazz whilst also bringing acoustic folk into her eclectic sound. Her warm and generous voice massages the listener and her mellow take on jazz standards provides a fresh sound to some vintage material. Lou has been described as a mix between Nora Jones, Eva Cassidy and Lianne La Havas.
She has performed across the globe, including at the Guinness Book of Records’ “highest concert in the world” in Nepal in 2012.
In addition to corporate functions, weddings and other private parties she has played her own material in a number of prestigious venues around London including the famous Ronnie Scott’s jazz club. As a songwriter she has worked on a number of projects and collaborated with a huge number of musicians around London.
Lou will provide a fantastic atmosphere to any venue or event.
