In particular weddings because they are of course very emotionally charged occasions and for most people an occasion that only happens for them once in their lifetime. Organising your first company events can be stressful too though as if you get it wrong you can embarrass yourself in front of customers and your boss!

So why do some of us decide to go through this stress day after day, week after week and year after year? In other words why do we go into events and live entertainment booking in particular?

Well the answer is simple. We love stress! The thrill, the adrenalin, the challenge, the fear of failure, the buzz of success. This is certainly what we thrive on at Chateau Yes Entertainment. So here are the three things we do to deal with the stress and allow us to thrive on it and sleep at night (or more likely early morning!).

1. We breath well

Most of us forget about breathing. Its just something we do, take for granted and largely ignore. In fact the only time most of us really focus on it is when for some reason we are unable to do it. But there is nothing more calming and grounding than just a couple of full, focused breaths before making a decision.

2. We put a contingency plan in place

This is particularly important during the busy Christmas party season when more than a hundred acts can be out on a single night. There is nothing more calming than knowing you have a backup DJ sitting in his van with all his gear waiting for the call to either drive somewhere, or go home because everyone is in place and playing.

3. We plan, early

For the busy Christmas period planning starts now. Estimates of resources required, recruitment of new acts and suppliers to cover requirements, starting to pencil in who is likely to be where based on geography, conditions at the site and gear required.

3a.! We accept that plans change and prepare ourselves mentally to deal with that

Enough said.

So there we have it 3 and a bit ways to help live through the stress of event organisation and entertainment booking.

Keep happy and keep saying Yes to Live Entertainment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
